by Peggy Caldwell

Using a man’s white crew sock and a Christmas sock, a little bit of wrapping paper and some crystal snow you can make a snowman that requires very little effort and makes a wonderful addition to your holiday décor!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
28-0401 DCC’S PAPER MACHE POST PEOPLE
1 men’s all white crew sock
1 Christmas holiday sock
Christmas Holiday wrapping paper
Greenery for garland scarf and hat end
1 wooden skewer painted orange
2 black bead eyes
1 heavy florist wire for arms
Crystal clear glitter
White glue
Needle & white thread.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Apply wrapping paper to the bottom stand using the white glue.
Place the white crew sock over the shape pulling it down all the way to the toe of the sock.  Let the cuff of the sock puddle around the top of the paper covered stand.
Pull the sock tight at the back so that it fits snuggly.  Tuck the fabric in neatly, pin and stitch to hold the sock firmly to the shape.
Cut off the toe of your Christmas sock.  Gather the cut end and tie with greenery or narrow ribbon.  Turn the ribbed top over to form a stocking cap w/rim.  Place it on his head.
Break off approximately 2.5” of your orange skewer.  Use the awl or nail to poke a hole for the nose and insert
The nose piece.  To hold firmly you may want to add a little glue to the broken end before inserting.
Glue on two black beads for eyes.
Tie on the greenery scarf.
Use the awl or nail to punch a hole in each side of the body.  Run the florist wire through one hole and out the other side.  Wrap ends around to the front.  Turn ends over 1” to form hands.  Insert Rusty Snowflake between hands.
Apply glue everywhere you want sparkle and sprinkle on clear glitter.
