INSTRUCTIONS:
PAPER CASTS:  Follow the package directions for making the dimensional snowman and snowflake.  I like to use facial tissue because it is smoother and I add a few drops of glue to my water.   Remove immediately from the mold and place over waxed paper to dry.   Press the feathered edges down onto the waxed paper so they lay flat.  The few drops of glue in the water will make the paper stiffer when it dries. Make 8 snowmen and 7 snowflakes.  Set aside to dry.
KNOBS:  To make the knobs look like snow balls cover three knobs with DecoArt Snow.  Set aside to dry.
Alternate 8 snowmen and 7 snowflake placing one on each side of the boxes and one on  the lid.
BOXES:  paint the paper mache portion of the boxes blue leaving the metal edges rusty metal.
STAMPS:  Stamp the words: WILL WORK FOR FREEZER SPACE…..all the way around the bottom edge of the small box.
Stamp the word SNOW……SNOW……SNOW as a border through the center of the medium box.
Stamp the words LET IT SNOW! ,at random over the entire large box.
SNOWFLAKES:  Use your white marker to draw on fine lines.  Make a cross first then draw on a shorter X through the center. Add dots to the ends of each line (cross & X).  Add a dot to the center.
Spatter the entire box with dots white acrylic paint.
Apply glue to the back side of the paper cast and glue them to the boxes.  Press the feathered edges firmly in place.  (If you prefer you could use spray adhesive.)
Measure and mark the center of each box lid.  Use an awl or ice pick to poke a small hole for the screw on knob.  Knobs can be removed and stored in the small box for easy storage.
Spray all boxes with a clear acrylic matte finish.
CHRISTMAS CARDS:  Card is made from blue paper folded in half and complete the same as the boxes except there is no need to add a finish coat of matte acrylic spray.
