INSTRUCTIONS:
WOOD: Distress the wood piece and heart using your hammer to dent and screwdriver and nail to scratch lines.
Use the ½” glaze brush to paint the heart and wood piece cream.  Slap the paint on in different directions.  The paint should not be neatly applied.

FACE FEATURES:  You can leave the face blank if you would like or you can draw on the eyes, nose & mouth line using your brown pen shown in the completed photo.  If you do decide to draw on facial features as soon as the ink is dry sand the face are to fade the ink lines.

GREEN ACCENT COLOR:  Use the ½” glaze brush to paint the bulls eye circle light yellow green.  Bull’s eye circle does not have to be completely covered.  Thin the paint and add the green to the rim of the heart and a little to the base.
Let dry completely.

ANTIQUE FINISH:   using your ½” glaze brush, brush the entire piece with brown antiquing,.  Wipe away the excess until you achieve the look of an old piece of wood.

WINGS:  Use your scissors to cut a small section of the border for each wing.  Be careful edges are sharp.  Base coat the wings with chocolate brown acrylic paint.  Finish paint them the same colors that you used on the wood letting some of the brown background show through.

GUARDIAN ANGEL WORDS:  Spread the chocolate brown paint on your palette to make a thin layer.  Tip your alphabet stamps into the thinned paint and apply to the wood.  Clean your stamps immediately.

BEADED CROWN:  Two inches up from the bottom of each piece of wire crimp a z to hold the beads in place.  Add beads at random to each piece of wire filling the wire close to the decorated end.  Use your needle nose pliers to turn over the wire end forming a loop.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:  HEART HEAD – Add the tassel to the small hole pulling the cord through and knotting it inside the heart as close as possible to the wood.
Add the three beaded wires in front of the tassel pushing the lower part of the wire down into the heart head.  Use the needle nose pliers to twist the wire together with the tassel cord.  Trim away the excess wire and cord.  Add a dollop of glue to the inside over the wire/cord twist.
Glue the wings to the back of the wood piece and the heart head tilted down as shown in the photo.  Allow to dry.  You can use small nails to attach the wings and head if you desire.
Heart charm – To make the charm look older I used a paper towel to pat on some of the chocolate brown color.
Add the brass nail to the front of the angel and hang the heart charm.
