DCC's Paper Mache Spring Bunny
by Peggy Caldwell

Paper Mache is the perfect surface to cover with scrapbooking paper.  It has a slight texture that makes adding scrapbooking papers to the surface easy and fun.  The finished project looks like you spent days to complete and it only took a few hours.

Mosaic is very popular and creating figures is not easy with real tile.  Using DCC’s Paper Mache scrap paper mosaic looks expensive, looks like real tile and your project can be designed around any special occasions.

Miscellaneous Suppies:
Scissors, Lower Case Letter Stamps, Black Ink Pad, Glue Gun, Awl, General Scrapbooking & Painting Supplies.

Optional: Narrow ribbons to match colors of paper

Instructions:
Paint all pieces white. Cut your scrape book paper into small shapes that resemble broken pottery shards.  Some pieces should be large and some small. Use decoupage medium to adhere paper pieces to the bunny leaving a small stripe of painted white background showing between pieces of paper.  This will look like the grout between tiles, like real mosaic.   Work a small section at a time following photograph for placement.   Smooth the papers on with your fingers.  Try to smooth out as many big wrinkles as possible.

Word Stamping:
After applying all the scrap tile papers choose a couple of the larger scraps of paper to receive the word stamps.  We stamped "Hip Hop" and "Think Spring" to our scraps.  Note that "Think" can be on one piece and "Spring" on another.  The same with :"Hip" and "Hop." Add a coat of decoupage medium over the entire piece.  Let dry completely.  This decoupage medium dries quickly and to a hard non-sticky finish.

Optional:  Tie two or more ribbons to the eggs.
