JEWELRY CRIMPING PLIERS 5.25" (Pkg/1)
JEWELRY MAKING and BEADING CRIMPING PLIERS TOOL
These
tools were originally sold in Michael’s Arts & Crafts, Hobby Lobby, Hancock
Fabrics, Ben Franklin Crafts, Lee Wards and thousands of independent retail
stores.
If you don’t already own a
pair of crimping pliers, DON'T pass on these! These pliers crease tube crimp down the
center. Then, roll the creased ends into a thinner, more elegant tube. The results are far superior to traditional
crimping methods because:
- Curled crimps have a more elegant, finished,
appearance.
- Curled crimps do NOT have sharp edges.
- Curled crimps are thinner than flattened
tubes, which allows them to be hidden in large hole
beads or clam shell beads.
- Curled crimps are stronger than flattened
crimps.
DCC crimping pliers have:
- Cushioned, textured, handles for a
comfortable and secure grip.
- Leaf spring construction, for smooth and
effortless motion.
- Polished steal head, to help prevent marring.
- Openings that accommodate crimps up to 3mm
wide.
- Tips that taper off to 2mm.
- Great for working with shorter crimps.
- Small compact design.
- The pliers measures 5.25".
CRIMP PLIERS INSTRUCTIONS:
The Crimp Pliers will give
a smooth, finished look to the crimp Beads 3mm or smaller. The Finished size will be about 2mm.
a)
After necklace pattern is complete, place crimp bead after last bead of
necklace or bracelet. Thread through one
side of the clasp and back through crimp bead.
b)
Place crimp bead in the Crimper Hole of Crimp Pliers. Pull end of thread or wire until crimp bead
is against clasp. Squeeze crimp pliers
to put a dent in crimp bead.
c)
Place the dented crimp bead in the Rounder Hole of the Crimp Pliers,
with the wire to each side in the hole and dent towards the Crimper Hole. Squeeze the pliers and the crimp bead will
round. This will remove the sharp
edges. Trim the end of wire or thread
and push end into the last bead of necklace.
Repeat process on the other end of necklace.
