Preparation
There is no prep needed just pick them up and have fun.

Decoupage Instructions
Cut any patterns and shapes out of the Christmas wrap using the deckle edged scissors.
Apply an even coat of Decoupage Medium to the entire lid of the box using the 1" wash/glaze brush and allow to dry. Apply an even layer of Decoupage Medium to the back of the red doillies doing one piece at a time press firmly on to the surface. Immediately apply another coat of Decoupage Medium over the doily starting at the center and working out. This will push the air bubbles out from underneath the doily. Repeat this process with all of the little cut out pieces.

Painting Instruction
Using the 1" wash/glaze brush basecoat the snowman in Cadet Grey. Using the same brush float the shadows with Ultra Blue plus a touch of Black. Tip: To float load the brush first in floating medium or water, pat off the excess on a paper towel. Tip one corner of the brush in color, blend the color through the bristles of the brush using a short back and forth motion on the palette. The color sould graduate from heavy color on the corner that you loaded to no color on the opposite corner. If when you begin to paint, you have color showing from both sides of the brush, it is improperly loaded. Rinse and start again.

Using the #8 angular stippler do the highlights on the snowmen in White. When you are stippling the highlights start in the brightest area and work out into the shadows. When the brush is freshly loaded is when you will deposit the most paint on the surface. Float the shadows in the mouth with Ultra Blue plus a touch of Black using the #12 shader. Tip: Stippling can be done with many tools, stippling brush, old fluffy brush, sponge, plastic wrap, load the tool in color pat on the palette to remove excess. Use a staight up and down patting motion to apply the color to the surface. Should have an airy look with background color showing through. Creates wonderful bushes, fur, flowers, etc.

Basecoat the carrot in Tangerine using the #12 shader. Float the shadows in Bright Red plus a touch of Black using the same brush. Float the highlights in White plus a touch of Tangerine using the same brush. Float his cheeks lightly with Bright Red using the #12 shader.

Using the #12 shader basecoat the earmuffs and the buttons in a mix of equal parts Green Isle and White. Float the shadows on both areas with Green Isle using the #12 shader. Stipple the highlights on the earmuffs with the base mix tipped in White. Float the hightlights on the buttons using the #12 shader. Do the thread in Black and White using the #0 liner.

Using the #0 liner do all of the liner-work in Black. Tip: To do liner-work thin your color with water to the consistency of heavy cream. Load the brush in the thinned color. As you pull it through the paint roll it so that you keep a nice sharp point.

To Finish
Basecoat the bottom of the box using the 1" wash/glaze brush in Ultra Blue.

Using the 1" wash/glaze brush apply an even coat of the Decoupage Medium to the bottom of the box using it as a varnish.

Glue a stripe of ribbon around the lid of the box. Make a bow with 4" loops by folding the ribbon over and over and wiring it in the center.

Glue the bow to the box.
