Recipes (old cookbook or photocopies of favorite chicken recipes)
Royal Coat Decoupage Medium
Acrylic Paint Palette:
Black White, Red, Yellow, and Brown
Brushes:
Size 1 liner, scroll or script brush,
Size 8 flat shadier, 1" sponge brush
Matte acrylic finish
Black permanent waterproof ink pen .01.
INSTRUCTIONS (click on underlined
items for patterns)
The PATTERN for the hens fits the largest box. Reduce the pattern by 25% to fit the medium pattern and 50% to fit the small pattern.
Paint the lid and bottom of the box black.
Tear edges or cut out recipes. Adhere to base of box in a random pattern following decoupage medium's instructions on package.
Trace and transfer pattern to boxes.
Paint hens black. Add random strokes of brown to head, neck, breast, wings & tail.
Pick up a small amount of white and wipe brush to remove excess paint. With this dry brush add wispy strokes of white to head, breast, tail and wings.
Eyes are elongated dots of white with a black center. Paint beak in Yellow. Paint comb in an irregular line of red. The waddle is also painted red.
