TILE PREPERATION - Wipe all vintage tin tile pieces with vinegar and a soft cloth to remove any oil and to help paint adhere.

YELLOW TALL CAN
Since the background yellow has already been painted for you all you have to do is add the plaid stripes! Measure and mark with a pencil a vertical line every 2" top to bottom. Repeat with horizontal lines. Load your flat shadier brush with thinned pale blue green color. Paint a vertical stripe with the left side of your flat brush touching the pencil line. Repeat the same technique horizontally. Use the liner and violet to paint the stripe along side the pale blue green. Repeat horizontally. Add a violet stripe around the top of the lid and a pale blue green band on the rim of the lid.

FLOWERS & LEAVES
All pieces are cut with scissors. All flowers have four small holes punched in the center. After you punch the holes with the awl and hammer turn the flower or leaf to the backside and hammer over holes to prevent sharp edges. Turquoise Daisy - Cut 3 daisy flower from a 4" tile. DAISY PATTERN Punch 4 small holes in center. Form into petals by gently bending into dimensional shape. Leave the center flat. Violet Mum - Cut circle from 4" tile. MUM PATTERN Cut Strips like spokes around the circle. I start with cuts across from one another like a cross. Then I cut those cuts in half and continue cutting until I have strips approximately ½" wide. ILLUSTRATION. Punch 4 small holes in center. Paint Violet. When dry curl each petal around a pencil. Curl some petals forward and some back. Curl all the way to the uncut center. Leaves - Cut 5 leaves from 8" scroll tile & paint yellow green. LEAF PATTERN Form into leaf shape. Punch two holes in stem. Highlight all flowers and leaves with a dry brush (dry brush means there is very little paint in the brush) of ivory. Cut wire 10 pieces of wire in 6" lengths. From the bottom up, string wire through the two holes in leaf and through two holes in the flower. String second piece of wire through two remaining holes in the flower. Wire should look like stamens of a flower. String three turquoise beads to each stamen on turquoise flowers. String three fuchsia beads to each stamen on violet flower. Use needle nose pliers to turn over and crimp wire so that beads do not come off.

POCKET
Cut 3 - 24" and 5 - 6" lengths of wire. Lay one tile over another turned to diamond shape. Punch a hole to three corners. Punch another hole have way between those three holes. Wire the two tiles together with 6" piece of wire. Curl wire ends around pencil and leave for decoration. Roll one of the loose tips of the pocket forward. Paint the entire pocket teal. When dry highlight with a dry brush of pale blue green. Adhere the flower and leaf as suggested above.
